Who we are
EagleWings – Protecting the Alps, brings together the passion of 5 nature lovers. Nomi Baumgartl, internationally renowned photographer, has for years been documenting with Helmut Achatz the fragile balance between Nature and Mankind in the alps. Jacques-Olivier Travers, a world-famous falconer and Ronald Menzel, serial entrepreneur and activist, have created Freedom Conservation, one of the most publicised environmental project in recent years, by placing a camera on the back of an eagle in order to raise public awareness on endangered species. Flying from iconic locations around the world, such as the Eiffel Tower, the summit of Mont Blanc, St Paul’s Cathedral in London or the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, nearly 2 billion people have seen these images broadcasted all around the world. Karl Friedrich Scheufele, co-president of Chopard, has committed his company since 2013 on The Journey to Sustainable Luxury.
Victor, the White-tailed Eagle cameraman was the spokesperson chosen by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Red List of endangered species, the world’s most comprehensive inventory of the state of conservation of plants and animals.
